I’d planned an evening of shooting in Badlands National Park. The clouds were abundant in the sky, which I love because they create dramatic backdrops for the landscape. I arrived to this location, set up my camera and tripod and took a few test shots to adjust for the lighting. Then, the clouds broke in a perfect place for the evening sun to shine through, cascading a line of light along the formations. I was glad no one else was around for they might have thought me a little crazy the way I whooped and hollered in my excitement.
