America Is Beautiful!

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
 O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man’s avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

    Dear Cristen
Thank you once again for your current blog with all of its attachments. I for one look forward to your frequent posts. I know that my one big hold up is just getting out and creating images. Reading and viewing your work is most inspiring to me . It amazes me how much you do create, including your writing. I realize how much I am not doing. And I know it is not due to subject matter because British Columbia with the amazing Okanagan Valley does not lack inspiration and I am retired (no excuse there). We live in Penticton BC at the south end of Lake Okanagan
Your Willow Creek Trail and numerous Black Hills images ,even though just a sample of you beautiful creations are fantastic viewing. I am in awe of your work and I can certainly appreciate your personal views and all images.
We have been fortunate in being able to travel in North and South Dakota along with your surrounding outstanding states.

    Thank you for the inspiration.

    Yours Truly

Hi Ron! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you comment today! It’s been a long and hard week and one where I’ve been a little down on myself and question my work and abilities. Thank you so much for your encouragement! When you get out there and photograph, please send a link to your images, I would love to see what you’re drawn to. One day I hope to make it to your neck of our beautiful world. So much to see and appreciate out there! All the best to you, Cristen
