Searching for wildflowers along Castle Trail in Badlands National Park, a friend and I came upon this cactus clustered formation. The day was near to a close and the peacefulness of the Badlands surrounded us.
While thinking of a title for this photograph, the words to Taps came to mind: “Day is done, Gone the sun, From the hills, From the lake, From the skies. All is well, Safely rest, God is nigh.”
