Weathered: The Northern Plains Landscape as Shaped by the Elements {Augustana University}

Two of my works, I See the Light and Wind Carved Snow Drift are currently on display at Augustana University’s Center for Western Studies. This exhibition features art from 22 regional artists.

A few weeks ago, my husband and I attended the artist reception. It was a lovely reception, very welcoming and enjoyable. Each artist had the opportunity to share who they are and talk about their work a little. I really enjoyed learning about the other artists.

I See the Light is the farthest to the right. It is presented under acrylic, my favorite printing method, and is 12×24.

Wind Carved Snow Drift (second from left) is also printed under acrylic and is 12×24. This piece won Best of Show at the Dahl Arts Center during the Mountain Culture Photo Exhibit

Both pieces are for sale. Please contact me if interested: cristen@cristenjoyphotography.com.

I had the honor of being part of an interview about this exhibit on SDPB’s In the Moment broadcast several weeks ago. You can listen to it here.

This show is held until August 25, 2017.
To see the list of all artists, please visit Augustana’s website. You will also find times the gallery is open and it’s location.
